Planning stucco cleaning in Indianapolis? Tell Indy Power Wash which walls need attention, what the finish is and whether you know the wall system. The cleaning request should account for the surface condition and access before a method or price is agreed.

Identify the wall system and its condition

If your building records identify conventional stucco, an Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) or a particular manufacturer, include that information. If you do not know, say so in the request. Mention any paint, later coating or previous cleaning treatment.

Point out cracks, impact damage, loose finish and concerns around windows or joints. These should be considered separately from dirt on the surface. Cleaning alone does not establish whether the wall needs repair.

Dryvit’s EIFS maintenance guide distinguishes surface buildup from impact damage and cracking, and describes low-pressure cleaning for its system. That guidance is specific to Dryvit EIFS; the instructions for your actual wall system and finish should guide the proposed work.

Describe the marks you want addressed

Tell us where you see green buildup, dark streaks, soil splash or other discoloration, and whether it has returned after previous cleaning. Note any nearby gutter overflow, irrigation spray or persistently damp areas. Describe what you see rather than assuming every dark mark has the same cause.

Ask which marks the proposed cleaning is intended to address. Repairs, repainting and changes to the finish need a separate discussion; they should not be assumed to be part of a wash.

What should your quote request include?

  • Work area: which walls, approximate area and number of stories, plus any trim or architectural details you want included.
  • Surface information: system or product name if known, finish condition and any damaged areas.
  • Access: gates, slopes, landscaping, nearby parking and an outside water connection. See our upper-level washing guide for access details.
  • Other surfaces: list any additional house washing or brick cleaning separately so the included work is clear.

Describe your walls and cleaning goals in the form’s Description of Work field.

How often should stucco be cleaned?

Discuss maintenance using the manufacturer’s guidance, the finish condition and the buildup at your property. A sheltered wall and a wall exposed to runoff may need different attention. Choose a schedule after assessing those conditions rather than assuming every building needs the same annual treatment.
